A Cautionary Tale of Caregiving

Arabs Known as Palestinians

By Andrew Weitzen

We need to stop referring to Arabs in Gaza, Judea, and Samaria as Palestinians. This was a designation thought up by the KGB in 1964 to create trouble for the United States by creating a mess in Israel.

The Arabs in Gaza, Judea, and Samaria are ethnically the same as those in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, and Egypt. Their last names are often from their families' areas of origin from these other places.

There is no such thing as an historic Palestinian people that are Arabs. Arabs cannot even pronounce Palestine. Arabic does not have the letter P.

The 1924 Palestine olympic team was composed of all Jews. There is a dance booklet from 1947 called Dances of Palestine, which have the earliest Israeli dances, all choreographed by Jews.

What we should be calling them as Akaps, which stands for the Arabs known as Palestinians, or Afkaps, the Arabs formerly known as Palestinians.

Better still, we should call them what they are, Arabs.
